Your tasks

• Lead the ICT Governance department with 7 employees in terms of personnel, expertise and organisation
• Promote a governance- and service-oriented culture as well as specifically develop roles, competences and the organisation
• Define, further develop and enforce governance guardrails in architecture, quality, methodology, IT security and AI, and help shape the ICT target architecture
• Define, further develop and ensure compliance with cross-cutting standards for documentation, quality, testing and release management
• Coordinate ICT security and risk issues in collaboration with the security officer and organisationally anchor risk and security management including ISDS
• Represent the Canton of Bern in commissions of the SSK and eCH as well as in inter-cantonal projects and vis-à-vis the ESTV

Your profile

• University degree, preferably in computer science, business informatics or business administration
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable leadership role with a focus on ICT governance, architecture or quality management
• Several years of leadership experience in an IT organisation, ideally with knowledge of ITIL and modern delivery approaches such as DevSecOps and agile quality assurance
• Sound knowledge of architecture governance and ICT security as well as ideally experience with agile methods (Scrum, SAFe)
• Interest in and initial experience with AI use in ICT governance or software development (e.g. Copilot, automated quality assurance) is an advantage
• Strong powers of persuasion, confident German as well as French skills are an advantage
