The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is a specialised organisation for addiction issues with the areas of work prevention + health promotion, counselling + therapy as well as integration + enterprises. Around 90 employees and about 260 volunteers at 13 locations implement the diverse services, which are financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals.

Networking with the Swiss and International Blue Cross supports innovation and quality assurance. The Blue Cross is politically and denominationally independent.

Area of activity

In this versatile role, you lead the Blue Cross Brocki Bern as an enterprise with a social mission and economic responsibility. You ensure that sales, inventory management, customer advice, personnel management and educational support work well together in everyday life.

Your main tasks include:

• Management, planning and organisation of the Blue Cross Brocki Bern as a profit centre
• Personnel management, deployment planning and promotion of employees, volunteers and civil servants
• Support and guidance of clients in everyday business
• Responsibility for sales, customer advice, goods receipt, goods presentation and inventory management
• Budget responsibility, cash control, invoices and operational key figures
• Acquisition, planning and coordination of house and apartment clearances as well as donation collections
• Ensuring operational processes, infrastructure and occupational safety
• Implementation of professional standards in the areas of integration, volunteer work and quality management according to QuaTheDA:2020

Profile

For this responsible role, we are looking for a strong, down-to-earth and goal-oriented personality with a passion for sales, people and an enterprise with a social mission.

You bring:

• Basic training in sales or commercial area, ideally with experience in retail
• Several years of professional experience in sales, operations management or a comparable environment
• Leadership experience and enjoyment in guiding and promoting employees, volunteers and clients in everyday life
• Training or experience in work pedagogy is an advantage
• Business management understanding, especially in the areas of budget, cash, key figures and organisation
• High social competence and confidence in dealing with different stakeholders
• Independent, structured and responsible way of working
• Resilience, assertiveness and good communication skills
• Good administrative skills and confident PC knowledge
• Identification with the Blue Cross mission statement
