On Friday, 30 January 2026, our St. Verena Stäfa parish invited volunteer women and men to a joint thanksgiving dinner following a thanksgiving Eucharist.
Franziska Senn
The evening was entirely dedicated to recognition and appreciation for the great commitment that so many volunteers made for our parish in the past year.
To ensure that the invited helpers could enjoy the evening without worries, the parish team and all members of the church council took over the organisation of the meal and the service. In a relaxed atmosphere, people ate together, laughed, and engaged in lively discussions.
Roger Stupf, President of the Church Council, and Bruno Gut-Fuchs, Deacon and Parish Leader, addressed personal words of thanks to those present. They honoured the diverse commitment in the various areas of the parish and briefly introduced the individual groups who support the vibrant parish life with their efforts.
A special musical highlight was provided after the main course by our organist Michael Pelzel, who enriched the evening with gentle piano pieces and thus contributed to a successful conclusion.
The thanksgiving dinner was a beautiful sign of solidarity and a heartfelt thank you to all who dedicate their time, heart, and energy to the St. Verena parish.
