Responsibilities:
- Prepare dishes and menus according to seasons, products, clientele, etc.
- Create recipes, try various products to renew the restaurant menu, apply dietary principles for healthy and balanced nutrition
- Evaluate the quantities of goods to order based on recipes, reservations, and sales forecasts
- Check delivered foodstuffs and determine their quality based on known criteria (origin, cultivation method, freshness, etc.)
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of foods to be cooked: peel vegetables, wash them, cut meat, determine the quantity of various ingredients, etc.
- Prepare dishes that complement the menu: soup, salad, meat, vegetables, dessert, etc., using appropriate equipment and utensils
- Apply various cooking methods: blanch, sauté, poach, stew, braise, gratinate, roast, grill, etc.
- Carefully garnish dishes or plates; pass them to the service staff
Profile:
- Completed compulsory schooling
- Previous kitchen internships completed
- Strong passion for cooking
- Very good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
