In the canton of Zurich, the Office for School Evaluation is responsible for checking the quality of elementary schools. The office conducts external evaluations of regular and special schools. To complete our team, we are looking for a specialist for the evaluation of regular and special schools (60%; with an option to increase to 75% after two years) starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement. Your tasks include planning, conducting, and analyzing external school evaluations as well as providing feedback and reporting to schools and school authorities. Established working tools are available to you in changing teams of two to four people.
For this demanding role, we expect a teaching diploma, a university degree, or a comparable basic education. Additional training and in-depth experience in school/organizational development or quality management are required. Professional qualifications in special education or remedial education, in kindergarten, or in school leadership are advantageous. You bring profound knowledge of elementary schools and the education system and ideally have knowledge and experience in evaluation procedures and methods. Excellent oral and written language skills, outstanding organizational and teamwork abilities, as well as good IT skills are also required. Particularly important are your resilience and willingness to work flexible hours: working times fluctuate within the framework of the annual working time according to the school year rhythm.
