About the job
Are you motivated to contribute your experience and benefit from the university environment?
The University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel are one of the leading university psychiatric clinics in Switzerland. Our goal is the continuous improvement of the treatment of our patients to achieve their best possible quality of life. The MTD of UPK Basel offer a variety of therapy forms. These are disorder-specific and an integral part of interdisciplinary treatment. Medically prescribed, they complement the psychotherapeutic and medicinal therapy offerings of the departments, which include inpatient, day-patient and outpatient care.
In the psychiatric forensics of UPK, delinquent patients with a psychiatric illness are usually treated as inpatients for the long term. In addition to acute psychiatric treatment, everyday-oriented as well as rehabilitative perspectives regarding professional (re-)integration must be considered, taking into account the risk of reoffending. The goal of all interventions is to accompany patients in their individual developmental processes and enable them to live as independently and offence-free as possible.
