About the job
What is my role?
Operational Purchasing
Supplier support and maintenance: Establishing and maintaining contacts with (international) suppliers, conducting supplier visits and participating in trade fairs at home and abroad
Price and condition negotiations: Preparation of documents for conducting negotiations and renegotiations with suppliers regarding quantities, prices and delivery dates
Requesting and comparing offers: Checking and comparing supplier offers; supporting selection and providing a basis for management decisions
Order processing / disposition: Handling and monitoring orders based on negotiated conditions (e.g. annual contracts)
Goods and inventory management: Ensuring an economically sensible stock of goods and inventory; managing and maintaining the inventory management system
Automation and process optimisation: Supporting the introduction of an automated ordering system (e.g. minimum stocks, demand control) and optimisation of internal purchasing processes
Order processing and deadline monitoring: Ensuring timely delivery of goods and services; monitoring delivery times and delivery quality
Creating evaluations and statistics
Supporting purchasing- and product-related management projects
What do I need to be successful?
Completed commercial training with several years of purchasing experience or degree focusing on purchasing or purchasing specialist
Several years of professional experience, preferably in technical purchasing or inventory management
Good technical understanding / basic knowledge of the electrical engineering sector; interest in electrical products
Enjoy daily interaction and open communication with suppliers and service providers
Strong negotiation skills in price and contract negotiations
Well thought-out and networked thinking and acting
Quality and sense of responsibility
Reliable, independent, structured and motivated working style
Resilience even under pressure
Entrepreneurial thinking with assertiveness
Openness and enjoyment of travelling (visiting (international) suppliers / fairs)
Good communication skills in German / English, French an advantage
Very good IT user skills: MS Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
