About the job
With the end of the 2023/24 school year, the time of some teachers at Primary School Wittenbach also comes to an end. The following teachers are being farewelled in the three school districts:
Departure from Kronbühl School Building
- After a solid 20 years of service, Barbara Schori will be retiring in summer 2024. With passion and dedication, she taught our little ABC learners throughout all those years. Every single child was important to her, not only in terms of learning progress but also in their well-being. She was always committed to finding good solutions or bringing about improvements. For many years of her career, she competently held class responsibility in collaboration with a colleague in a constructive, loyal, and complementary manner. She advocated for a harmonious relationship with her colleagues and the entire team. Working with her was always very pleasant and highly appreciative. Now, unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye, knowing that she is not far away and our school doors are always open for a visit. We sincerely thank Barbara Schori for her many years of service and support for the school and wish her all the best for her upcoming retirement.
- Bea Ebneter is also retiring this summer after many years of teaching. During her family time, she first started in 1995 with a substitute position in a small part-time role in the Steig school district. Later, she moved to Kronbühl and led several lower school classes with various colleagues. She accompanied and taught her pupils with commitment and great joy. It was immediately apparent that she greatly enjoyed teaching. She also loved the children and was very good at responding to them. A great passion of hers was artistic design. She repeatedly sought new creative ideas and decorated the classroom and corridor with expressive, colourful, and diverse children’s work. Ending her teaching career is not easy for Bea Ebneter, nor for us. However, we are very pleased when she drops by from time to time. We warmly thank her for her outstanding dedication to our school and wish her many new freedoms in retirement.
- Corinne Eigenmann taught as a class teacher in Kronbühl for just under 10 years. She lovingly and supportively guided many lower school children from 1st to 3rd grade into middle school. She also took on tasks in teamwork and the training of student teachers with commitment and conscientiousness. Her employment with us ended in spring 2024 with the wonderful event of motherhood and family time.
- Dana Braumann taught for 9.5 years in the middle school at Kronbühl. In the early years, she was also responsible for IT in the school district. She loved teaching and imparting the material to pupils in a variety of ways. Ready for a new professional challenge, Ms Braumann left Primary School Wittenbach at the end of January 2024.
Departure from Sonnenrain School Building
Karin Gschwend is leaving Primary School Wittenbach at the end of the 2023/24 school year as she will be taking up a new position near her home. She taught for seven years at Sonnenrain School Building as a middle school class teacher. She distinguished herself as an experienced, linguistically gifted, and reliable teacher who approached her task with great joy and enthusiasm.
Since 2021, Gaby Winiger has been working as a school special needs educator in the Sonnenrain school district. She accompanied classes and children with great commitment and professionalism from kindergarten to 6th grade. Her extensive experience provided optimal support for the various needs of the pupils and assisted teachers with pedagogical and didactic questions. Ms Winiger is now drawn to explore the wide world.
After only one year, Jan Räbsamen is leaving us at the end of the 23/24 school year. He wants to fully dedicate himself to his studies in the coming year. As a member of the "Insel" team, he succeeded with his authentic and friendly manner in building a good and trusting relationship with the pupils. The forest days he prepared were appreciated, especially the imaginative forest dishes.
Departure from Steig School Building
Nanine Oberle is leaving Primary School Wittenbach at the end of the 2023/24 school year as she will be taking up a new position near her place of residence. She worked for 12 years in the Steig kindergarten. During this time, she enthusiastically taught the youngest children of the primary school and advocated for the use of digital media at all levels.
Mirjam Huber has worked as a school special needs educator at Steig School Building for 10 years. Most recently, she taught pupils in the introductory class. She accompanied them with great empathy and appreciation. She will now move to a special school as a special needs educator in the new school year.
After 5 ½ years, Céline Leu is leaving us. During this time, she worked in the middle school and taught pupils with great enthusiasm and joy. She was a sports enthusiast and nature lover. She will take up a position in Central Switzerland in the new school year.
Yannik Bruderer worked for one year in the Obstgarten kindergarten. He accompanied the children with great empathy and joy. He is now returning to the care of children of primary school age.
- We thank all departing teachers for their dedication to Primary School Wittenbach and sincerely wish them all the best for their professional and private futures.
