Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
Within the Hospital Logistics Department (DLOH), the Supply, Distribution and Storage Service ensures the delivery of goods and mail management, coordinates delivery docks, manages the vehicle fleet and its maintenance, and implements stock management in operating theatres and care units. The team offers recognised expertise in supply and innovative technologies serving internal clients.
Mission
- You load goods (including with pallet trucks or lifting platforms) and check the vehicle’s proper functioning before departure
- You drive in varied conditions (traffic, weather), strictly respecting traffic and safety rules
- You use onboard electronic devices (GPS, route calculators) to optimise your rounds
- You unload goods, check their condition, and ensure traceability.
- You complete administrative formalities (delivery notes, signatures) according to instructions
- You carry out routine maintenance of vehicles and trailers; you check electrical systems, tyre pressure, and replace defective parts
- You contribute to service quality for care units and internal clients.
Profile
- You are at least 17 years old by 30 November of the first training year and have completed compulsory schooling
- You demonstrate organisational skills, autonomy, and flexibility
- You are reliable, punctual, and attentive to the safety of people and property
- You are comfortable with digital tools onboard and communicating with internal clients.
