Job Description
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva is opening applications for a position of
Scientific Collaborator 2 at 50%
within the Department of Medicine.
TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
TEACHING:
- Participation in teaching such as PBL, nutrition, digestion and metabolism module.
- Supervision of PREM students, masters in biomedical sciences and postdoctoral researchers.
RESEARCH:
The activity consists of conducting research on the link between metabolic hepatic steatosis (MASLD (MASH)) and insulin resistance within Professor François Jornayvaz’s laboratory. For this, various murine models are available and analyses on cell cultures are also performed, using classical molecular biology techniques, both in vivo and in vitro. The appointed candidate will also participate in colloquia and conferences if presenting.
Required Qualifications and Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in science or equivalent
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Experience functioning as a lab manager.
- Team spirit, collegiality.
- Fluency in French, very good level of English.
