DN 700 - DN 1200 (PN 10/16/25)
1. Scope of application
The shut-off damper can be used for drinking and raw water, compressed air and all types of gases according to DVGW worksheet G 260/1. Other media on request. Pressure rating PN 10, PN
16, PN 25, the max. operating and differential pressure corresponds to the nominal pressure. Flange according to
DIN 28604, 28605, 28606. Flange according to ASA and BSI on request. Temperature range for the above-mentioned media +70°C.
2. Design
Shut-off damper with flow-optimized, double eccentric mounted disc.
Easily replaceable disc seal. Shaft bearings running in maintenance-free plain bearings. Shaft sealing by internal and external O-rings. Indicator device on the gearbox housing cover (OPEN-CLOSE). Crank gear with adjustable stop for the end position CLOSE. Operation via ball handle.

3. Storage instructions
The shut-off damper must be stored in such a way that it is protected against contamination and damage. The profile seal must not be exposed to direct sunlight.

4. Installation instructions n Clean disc, damper housing and profile seal. n Check shut-off damper for possible damage due to storage or transport. n Perform functional check. The operating torque must not exceed the values specified in Table 2. In case of doubt, measure with a torque wrench.
5. Maintenance instructions n Shut-off dampers are maintenance-free. n Drive and bearing parts have good emergency running properties. n We recommend operating the shut-off damper once or twice a year.
6. Replacing the profile seal (Chapter 8; spare parts list shut-off damper) n Move disc (Pos. 3) to open position. n Loosen hexagon screws (Pos. 15) of the gearbox and pull the gearbox at least
10 mm off. n Turn gearbox 90° counterclockwise. n Remove clamping ring (Pos. 4) after removing the cylinder screws (Pos. 30). n Replace profile seal (Pos. 9), remove contamination in the seal area. n Ensure exact fit of the profile seal in the retaining groove. n Screw on clamping ring (Pos. 4), initially slightly pre-tension the profile seal. n Turn gearbox (2) back to starting position and secure, insert cylinder roll pin (Pos. 17). n Move disc to "CLOSE" position. n Perform pressure test, depending on pressure rating: see DIN 3230, Part 3 n If leakage occurs, tighten countersunk screws (Pos. 28) in sections. n Tighten set screws (Pos. 26) before completing the pressure test.
7. Adjusting the gearbox end stop "CLOSE" (Chapter 9; crank gear) n Loosen closure screw (Pos. 15). n Loosen spindle nut (Pos. 6) by turning the handwheel towards "OPEN" from the
threaded bushing (Pos. 13). n Loosen set screw (Pos. 36). n By turning the threaded bushing (Pos. 13) clockwise, the mechanical
end stop "CLOSE" is adjusted so that by turning the handwheel clockwise the disc moves deeper into the sealing seat. n Turning counterclockwise produces the opposite effect.
The distance "X" specified in the table must not be exceeded.
After adjusting the threaded bushing (Pos.13) tighten set screw (Pos. 36). n Screw in closure screw (Pos. 15).
