In the IT department of Zürcher Kantonalbank, you will develop the technology of tomorrow together with over 1,000 colleagues – right in the heart of Zurich. In our agile DevOps team "Pandit", everything revolves around the bank's digital customer interface. In this exciting and varied area, you will support and further develop several business-critical eBanking applications together with the team. You will work with modern development methods such as pair and mob programming as well as test-driven development. In your role, you will significantly shape the solution architecture, ensure operational stability, and support the team with your experience. We rely on modern architectural approaches such as microservices, resilience, domain-driven design, security, observability, and performance, and we value self-organisation and commitment with passion.
- Responsible for the further development of microservices and self-contained systems in a complex eBanking environment
- Designing and implementing demanding banking-related requirements in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Ensuring high-quality, stable, and secure software development as well as smooth operations
- Optimising collaboration between development, testing, operations, and monitoring with an end-to-end perspective
- Creating and reviewing solution architectures for new requirements considering security, performance, and scalability
- Introducing new technical and methodological impulses to advance the team and products
- Coaching and supporting developers in the team as well as promoting best practices such as clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and observability
- Completed studies (university, university of applied sciences, college) in (business) informatics or comparable education
- Several years of experience in software development focusing on Java- and Angular-based web applications
- Very good knowledge of Java, Angular, Spring (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Security), JPA as well as the databases Oracle and Postgres; Kotlin is a plus
- Solid experience with Kubernetes in development, deployment, operation, and troubleshooting of productive services
- Practical experience in software architecture of internet-exposed services (e.g. security, scaling, resilience, API design as well as observability approaches)
- Team- and customer-oriented personality with high self-motivation, sense of responsibility, and social skills
- Enjoys taking responsibility and acting as a technical point of contact within the team
- Very good German skills; English skills are a plus
