Temporary for October: General Practitioner / Family Doctor - modern primary care in a well-rehearsed team

For the entire month of October, we are looking for an experienced medical professional to temporarily support an established general practice and be able to rely on existing structures.

This position is particularly suitable for doctors with experience in Switzerland, those returning to practice, or colleagues between two longer-term engagements.

You will work in a modern general practice in northern Switzerland, which is consistently dedicated to classical medical primary care. Instead of focusing on individual specialisations, the practice deliberately emphasises broad and long-term care of its patients. This very understanding of general practice shapes everyday life.

The team consists of around 12 doctors, including specialists as well as assistant doctors in training. They are supported by an experienced MPA team with clear responsibilities and well-established procedures.

The practice is located in a modern new building directly at the station and has an unusually extensive infrastructure for a general practice. This includes digital X-rays, several ultrasound devices, an in-house laboratory, ECG, lung function diagnostics, and other diagnostic options at almost hospital-level quality.

Your tasks:

• General medical care of patients of all ages
• Treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
• Use of modern diagnostic options directly in the practice
• Performing minor surgical procedures and wound care according to experience
• Collaboration with regional hospitals and specialists
• Co-care of existing patients during the period of representation

Your competencies:

• Specialist title in General Internal Medicine, General Practitioner, or equivalent qualification
• Good German language skills at C1 level
• Enjoyment of broad general medical work
• Independent and team-oriented working style
• Experience in Switzerland is an advantage
• Returnees are explicitly welcome
• MEBEKO recognition already present, preferably with an active or inactive BAB for the canton of Schaffhausen
