To complement our team in Wallisellen near Zurich, we are looking for an engaged and experienced team member (m/f/d) to start immediately or by agreement.

As an Operations Engineer, you ensure that our IT systems run reliably and stably, focusing on the operation and monitoring of our infrastructure, servers, and networks in our data center. You work very practically and solution-oriented, recognize problems early, resolve disruptions, update systems, and thus ensure the availability, security, and currency of our IT environment. In doing so, you work closely with a team of professionals.

Your specific tasks

• Operation and monitoring of Windows and Linux servers on the VMware platform
• Maintenance and further development of backup and data protection systems (e.g., NetApp)
• Support of the active directory environment, including domain and file services and cloud connections
• Planning and execution of maintenance work, updates, and system expansions
• Documentation and technical support during audits

This role also offers the opportunity to develop further through participation in various projects such as migrations, infrastructure modernizations, or cloud connections according to your strengths. A prerequisite for this is your interest in IT security topics (role models, access rights), enjoyment in defining and analyzing requirement profiles, and developing and implementing suitable solutions, as well as your general openness to engage with new technologies.

You bring

• Technical basic training and/or extensive experience in dealing with IT systems and enjoyment in IT operations
• Professional experience in areas of system technology, server operation, backup, and infrastructure
• Solid knowledge in Windows servers, VMware, NetApp, and Active Directory or the willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with the topic
• Structured and independent working style with a pronounced sense of responsibility
• High service and solution orientation combined with analytical thinking ability
• Flexible deployment capability in your dynamic environment and the ability to remain calm even in hectic situations
• Good communication and language skills in German and English
