Receptionist at the Oncology Department
To complete our team, we are looking for a receptionist for our Oncology Department.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Coordinated Oncology Centre (CCO) of the Clinical Oncology Department (DOC) works in the care of oncology patients, allowing them to meet their referring physician for consultations and outpatient treatments, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The CCO is composed of a team of highly qualified professionals from various disciplines and collaborates very closely, demonstrating exemplary commitment and extraordinary dedication to the cause of cancer. The administrative sector acts as a strategic partner in patient care and clinical activities, providing the administrative skills required for the smooth running of the platform. Mission
- You ensure the reception of patients and their relatives, as well as visitors and colleagues, respecting institutional guidelines, values, and principles
- You manage the administration and appointment scheduling for outpatients according to current procedures
- You handle telephone reception, provide information, and direct patients according to current procedures
- You perform administrative management and appointment scheduling for outpatients according to current procedures
- You interact with other partners involved in patient care, ensuring communication between the various office staff and other institutional services in a dynamic and proactive manner
- Depending on the service needs and your professional aspirations, you will have the opportunity to undertake internships or replacements in roles such as medical assistant or medical secretary to develop your skills with a view to career progression.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee and/or training as a receptionist or an equivalent qualification; a medical secretary diploma would be an asset
- You have several years of professional experience in a reception role, ideally in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Your listening skills and client orientation enable you to welcome and respond to a wide variety of requests
- You must manage priorities and be able to analyse and synthesise information provided by various interlocutors
- With a strong sense of responsibility, you are adaptable and flexible, essential for the smooth running of a public service
- Your spirit of mutual aid and collaboration allows you to thrive within a large team
- You are perfectly comfortable with the IT solutions and tools of a large organisation and are extremely meticulous in your work
- You have very good command of common IT tools (Microsoft Office)
- You have good oral expression and excellent knowledge of French. Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset.
