The property drainage department of the city of Uster is a well-coordinated team responsible for the implementation and review of wastewater technical applications, advice, inspections and approvals of corresponding construction projects, and ensuring compliance with water protection regulations to protect groundwater and waters from contamination and to ensure the prescribed separation of wastewater and rainwater.

The property drainage department of the city of Uster is a well-coordinated team responsible for the implementation and review of wastewater technical applications, advice, inspections and approvals of corresponding construction projects, and ensuring compliance with water protection regulations to protect groundwater and waters from contamination and to ensure the prescribed separation of wastewater and rainwater.

Your main tasks
- Independent assessment of wastewater technical building applications and execution of corresponding approval procedures applying legal regulations and technical standards and issuing the wastewater technical approval, with signing authority
- Assessment and consultation on conditions related to building permits
- Approvals and inspections of property drainage systems after structural changes as well as structural installations
- Control and evaluation of sewer inspections and tightness tests
- Information and advice on property drainage questions
- Writing correspondence, preparing reports, protocols, and decision bases
- Invoicing for sewer connection fees
You bring with you
- Completed technical vocational training (sanitary, civil or structural draftsman or building services planner or comparable)
- Specialist certificate "Property Drainage Specialist" or willingness to obtain it
- Several years of professional experience in the specialist area and knowledge of SN Norm 592000
- Training and professional experience as a construction manager or project manager or professional experience in administration is an advantage
- Conceptual understanding of settlement drainage and modern rainwater management
- Secure German language skills in speaking and writing (at least C2)
- Good PC user skills (Office applications, M365, CMI an advantage)
- Driving license category B
