About the job
The Bern Historical Museum is one of the most important cultural history museums in Switzerland. It is a growing repository of knowledge and experience for the culture and history of Bern and the world. The collections on history, archaeology, and ethnography comprise around 567,000 objects. They offer insights into living environments from different historical periods and cultural contexts.
In a partnership with the Swiss National Bank, the Bern Historical Museum has designed and realised the Moneyverse. Opened on 10 April 2026 and located in the heart of the city of Bern, the Moneyverse revolves around one of humanity's most significant inventions: money. The Bern Historical Museum is responsible for the operation and thus the mediation as well as the continuous development of the offer.

With us, you will gain a versatile insight into the work of a dynamic museum team and actively contribute to bringing the Moneyverse and its offerings closer to a broad audience.
Your tasks:
- Management of communication channels (text editing and publishing for social media, newsletter, website)
- Assistance in organising events
- Support of the Marketing and Communication team of the Bern Historical Museum
- Administrative and organisational tasks
Your profile:
- Ongoing or recently completed training/education in marketing/communication
- Interest in culture and museums
- First practical experience in marketing/communication desired (social media, content production)
- Creativity, organisational talent, efficiency and initiative
- Confident German as well as good French and English skills (spoken and written)
