The Migration Office operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues. We are responsible for foreigner permits, enforce the federal foreigner and asylum law, issue biometric Swiss passports and foreigner identity cards, and provide care and integration in our asylum centres.
The Migration Office is initially seeking a fixed-term one-year appointment for the centre with an integration character Sonneblick in Walzenhausen, starting immediately or by arrangement, for a

What to expect
- You ensure that a regulated centre operation and an orderly community life are maintained during the night and at weekends
- You take on diverse care and activity tasks
- You plan and conduct activities for children and adults
- In emergency situations, you act calmly and prudently, alert rescue services if necessary, and cooperate with them
- You provide support in centre operations
- Working hours: Security and care staff cover all times outside regular office hours. This means:
- Weekdays: from 16:00 – 23:00 / 24:00 hours with subsequent overnight stay in the asylum centre and active working time the next morning from 07:00-08:15 hours
- Weekends and public holidays: day and night shifts possible
What distinguishes you
- A completed training as a care specialist (FaBe) or an equivalent qualification or further training (e.g. migration specialist) in the fields of education, care, teaching or counselling
- Strong social skills, resilience and confident appearance in challenging situations
- German language skills at least at C1 level
- Driving licence category B
- Foreign language skills are an advantage
