The Role

Exciting opportunity to join PureGym as the Cost Manager!
As a Cost Manager (Kalkulator), you will be fully accountable for preparing, managing, and reporting all financial costs connected to property-related capital expenditures including new gym development and existing gym investments (c.a. 10 – 20 projects per year). You will work closely with Swiss Property, Procurement, Finance, and Senior group stakeholders to drive cost effectiveness on key strategic initiatives.
Job requirements
You will:
Cost Investment Planning & Cost Management
•Develops capital cost estimates, business cases, and investment appraisals to support project feasibility and capital expenditure (CAPEX) approvals using local BKP and NPK norms and processes.
•Prepares, maintains, and manages detailed project cost plans, budgets, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
•Owns the end-to-end financial management of multiple property delivery projects, ensuring effective budget control and cost visibility.
•Monitors project expenditure, including preparation of purchase orders and tracking invoices, to produce accurate cost reports and forecast final costs.
•Identifies commercial risks and opportunities, providing financial analysis to support informed project decision-making.
Commercial Management, Benchmarking & Continuous Improvement
•Review and validate contractor and supplier pricing, variations, and final accounts to ensure
commercial accuracy and value for money.
•Challenge supplier pricing and manage change control in collaboration with Procurement and Project Managers to achieve commercially robust outcomes.
•Develop and maintain cost benchmarking data, analyzing trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for standardization across the Swiss property portfolio.
•Provide market intelligence and benchmarking insights to support Procurement strategies, tendering, and future investment decisions.
•Drive continuous improvement in cost planning, reporting, commercial governance, and cost management processes to enhance project performance and consistency.
The Person
•Fluent in English and German, French is beneficial
•Expected to work in accordance with BKP and NPK standards
•Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
•Can work collaboratively with contractors and cross-functional stakeholders (Swiss Property Team, Procurement, Senior Management), building effective relationships while delivering commercially robust outcomes.
•Confident challenging assumptions and supplier/contractor pricing using facts and data.
•Demonstrates unwavering accountability and a keen appetite to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
•Proven experience in construction cost management or commercial management, with responsibility for the financial oversight of construction projects.
•Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, contract management, and change control.
•Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to challenge contractor pricing, manage commercial risk, and use data to inform decision-making and cost optimization.
•Experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, or multi-site developments is advantageous.
