Due to high temperatures and lack of precipitation, there is currently acute dryness in the canton of Solothurn. As a result, the forest fire danger has risen to danger level 4 (high). Following an assessment by various cantonal offices, the commander of the Solothurn Cantonal Police has imposed an absolute fire ban in forests, near forests, on river and lake shores, as well as a general fireworks ban throughout the entire canton. The order comes into effect immediately.
The ongoing dryness and high temperatures have led to a significant forest fire risk throughout the canton of Solothurn. Therefore, the commander of the Solothurn Cantonal Police, in consultation with the Solothurn Building Insurance, the Office for Forest, Hunting and Fisheries, and the Cantonal Command Staff, has imposed an absolute fire ban in forests, near forests, on river and lake shores, as well as a general fireworks ban across the entire canton. The order comes into effect immediately.
