Finance, Controlling and Statistics Specialist 80 - 100%The Social Insurance Court of the Canton of Zurich is a medium-sized institution with currently 15 judges and around 80 employees in the legal and administrative sectors. As one of the three highest cantonal courts, it is responsible for handling appeals and lawsuits in the field of social insurance.
Would you like to help shape the financial management of the Social Insurance Court? In this responsible key position, you will assume professional responsibility for finance, controlling and reporting and support the court management with sound business management decision-making bases. In this role, you report to the Secretary General.
As the current post holder is retiring, we are looking for a responsible and committed individual from March 2027 or by arrangement as
Finance, Controlling and Statistics Specialist (80 - 100%)
Your main areas of responsibility will include:
- You are responsible for the court's finance and accounting and ensure economical, transparent and legally compliant financial management in accordance with the KTZH accounting manual.
- You are responsible for monthly closings as well as interim and annual financial statements, prepare budgets, annual accounts and the Consolidated Development and Financial Plan (KEF) and accompany the budgeting process.
- You report to the Canton of Zurich according to the IPSAS accounting standard and continuously develop controlling, reporting and meaningful management indicators.
- You support the court management with sound business analyses and decision-making bases.
- You actively contribute to the further development and digitalisation of financial and business processes and take responsibility in projects.
- You ensure the operation and further development of the Internal Control System (ICS).
- You deputise in personnel administration tasks and participate in personnel administrative processes.
Your profile
- You have completed training and further education in finance and accounting. This may have been acquired through studies in business economics, accounting & finance, public management or a comparable field (university or university of applied sciences) or through higher vocational training with corresponding practical experience.
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in the public sector, in finance and accounting, controlling or public administration.
- Sound knowledge in financial planning, budgeting, accounting and controlling as well as an interest in legal issues.
- High IT affinity and very good user knowledge of Excel and SAP.
- Enjoyment in process development, digitalisation and project work.
- Analytical, independent and structured working style as well as a strong quality awareness.
- Integrity, service-oriented personality with strong communication skills, confident appearance and constructive cooperation skills.
