Operational Coordinator Operating Rooms
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) is looking for an operational coordinator for the operating rooms with an activity rate between 80%-100% (permanent contract). The starting date is scheduled for June 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching, and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient logistical operational services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilization, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS), which has nearly 130 employees, has the main mission of managing the flow of goods and mail entering and leaving the institution. At the same time, its professional teams manage the stocks of care units, both in hospital wards and for operating rooms.
Mission
- You coordinate the operational logistics activities for the various operating rooms
- You ensure backup in scheduling shifts, leave, and vacations and, if necessary, plan temporary staff
- You manage, organize, and optimize the various stocks of the operating room
- You plan, organize, and supervise inventories (rotating, annual)
- You ensure that the rules in force within the sector (wearing professional attire, hand hygiene, handling all goods, use of equipment, etc.) are respected
- You are responsible for integrating employees, their training, and regularly informing them about procedures and activities
- You are willing to work irregular hours (day, evening, weekends, and public holidays), on-call duty.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a logistician
- You have at least 2 years of experience in stock management within an operating room or a similar environment (pharmaceutical, laboratory)
- You have at least 2 years of experience with automated storage systems (stacker crane) or other systems deemed useful for the role
- You hold a forklift operator license (tow tractors)
- You have completed training on load handling
- You have good knowledge of common office tools (Microsoft Office suite) and management and traceability software (Optim, Isitrac, ...)
- You are organized, rigorous, autonomous, and able to respect and manage priorities.
