Assistant Physician Surgery

For our Department of Surgery, we are looking for an assistant physician starting spring 2028. The Schaffhausen Hospitals operate an interdisciplinary emergency centre at the Cantonal Hospital. Together with the emergency practice run by general practitioners, we centrally offer comprehensive and high-quality medical care. With around 15,000 patients treated in a 24-hour operation (emergency centre) and an additional approximately 7,500 patients in the emergency practice (6 pm - 10 pm), over 20,000 patients are medically cared for and supported annually.

• Medical care of the ward assigned to you
• Operations under specialist supervision
• Assistance in various operations
• Rotation care of surgical patients in the emergency ward

What you bring to us

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written (minimum requirement level C1)
• Professional and social competence in dealing with patients and relatives
• Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity
• Sense of responsibility, initiative, teamwork, resilience and independence
• Swiss medical diploma or equivalent MEBEKO recognition
