The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, controlling and operational tasks mainly in social assistance, social insurances, social services and in the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organizations. It also runs its own facility, tilia, based in Rheinau.
For the Social Insurance Department, we are looking for a Specialist in Supplementary Benefits (50–70%) with an affinity for digital transformation to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks – versatile, responsible, impactful
- You are the contact person for professional questions in the area of supplementary benefits (EL) and related social insurances (AHV/IV)
- You conduct research, analyses and conceptual work on topics related to supplementary benefits and contribute to the preparation of directives, technical bases and statements
- You monitor legal developments in the area of supplementary benefits to AHV/IV and prepare relevant information for the team
- You create and analyze financial as well as statistical evaluations and develop foundations for decisions and strategies from them
- You participate in the further development of digital specialist applications and bring your perspective as a specialist into the design of data-based solutions
- You contribute to continuously strengthening the digital and analytical competence in the specialist area
Your profile – professionally skilled, digitally interested, personally convincing
- You have completed training and advanced education in social insurances, public administration or law and ideally have several years of professional experience in the area of supplementary benefits
- You bring basic knowledge or experience in data analysis (e.g., with "R" or "Power BI") or have an interest in gaining expertise in this area
- You possess very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a flair for numbers and contexts
- You have solution- and service-oriented thinking, combined with initiative and an efficient and structured way of working
- You enjoy teamwork as well as the combination of operational and conceptual tasks
