Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for the operational handling of medium-sized customer projects in the field of medium-voltage switchgear – from order acceptance to delivery and project completion. You ensure disciplined project execution in accordance with contractual requirements, internal processes, and quality standards. As a central coordination point, you work closely with international plants, engineering, production, logistics, and local stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and high customer satisfaction.

This position is assigned to the Medium Voltage Switchgear business unit within the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Switzerland.
Your main tasks:
- Overall responsibility for end-to-end project management towards the customer, including coordination of plant project managers, engineering, production, and logistics to achieve schedule, cost, quality, and performance targets.
- Active management of planning, monitoring project progress and deadlines, and interface coordination with a focus on delivery reliability, efficient problem-solving, and milestone adherence.
- Monitoring project finances, risks, changes, and claims in close coordination with internal stakeholders, as well as early identification of deviations and initiation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Leading the project closure phase, including customer acceptance, completeness of project documentation, and structured capture, evaluation, and implementation of lessons learned for continuous improvement of project execution.
Qualifications for the role:
- Completed studies in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline or higher vocational training in the technical field (e.g., advanced technical college), with a strong focus on electrical products and systems.
- Several years of practical experience in managing or coordinating industrial customer projects, ideally in the field of medium-voltage switchgear or complex technical products.
- Solid practical experience in applying project management methods (e.g., IPMA, PMP, or equivalent) in an operational, delivery-oriented environment.
- Very good knowledge of project and collaboration tools such as MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, and SAP, with active use to ensure transparency and controllability.
- Experience working with international plants and cross-functional teams, as well as strong skills in interface management, expediting, and problem-solving.
- Good knowledge of contract, change, and claim management, as well as confidence in handling deviations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good German and English skills (at least C1 level in both languages) and a pragmatic, resilient working style in a dynamic, implementation-oriented environment.
