Job Description
On behalf of our client, an international private bank based in Geneva, we are looking for an IT Consultant specialised in financial regulatory reporting and data integration, for a one-year mission, with a preferred start at the beginning of October, with a possibility of early November.
You will strengthen the IT team as part of the implementation of a regulatory reporting solution. Your role will mainly consist of extracting data from the data warehouse, transforming it, and adapting it to the data model of the target tool to ensure its feeding.
The project primarily covers European entities, including the United Kingdom, with a possible extension to Asia. The main areas concerned are capital adequacy, liquidity, and accounting and prudential reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyse data from the data warehouse and identify those necessary to feed the regulatory reporting solution.
- Design and execute SQL queries to extract, prepare, and transform data.
- Define and document mappings between source data and the data model of the target tool.
- Contribute to the integration and migration of data to the new solution, in collaboration with IT teams and business users.
- Control the quality, completeness, and consistency of data, investigate anomalies, and explain discrepancies.
- Perform reconciliations and tests necessary to validate flows and integrated data.
- Produce clear documentation of mappings, transformation rules, and controls.
We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:
- Proven IT experience in integration, transformation, or migration of data for financial regulatory reporting systems, ideally with FIRE / Regnology.
- Excellent command of SQL and strong skills in relational databases and data warehouses.
- Ability to understand a target data model and adapt data from source systems accordingly.
- Good knowledge of the banking environment and financial data; accounting knowledge is an asset.
- Experience in integration or migration of regulatory data is a major advantage, notably on FIRE / Regnology, Data Foundation, or WKFS.
- Experience in integrating ERP or SAP solutions will also be considered if it demonstrates transferable skills.
- Knowledge of European regulatory reporting, particularly regarding capital, liquidity, or prudential reporting, is highly appreciated.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into data needs is an additional advantage.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Autonomy, analytical rigour, and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Availability for a full-time mission in Geneva, with a preferred start in early October or early November.
