Summer Culture Event

Under pleasant conditions, the summer culture event of Merz AG construction company from Küttigen took place on 24 August. Guests gathered on this summer evening in the beautiful Erlinsbach to be captivated by the local theatre association on its idyllic open-air stage. After the welcome aperitif, Felix Strasser, owner and managing director, was able to welcome around 130 guests and customers in his opening speech.

In the spacious marquee, visitors were also treated gastronomically at festively set banquet tables. Even during the meal, there was a relaxed atmosphere and anticipation for the subsequent performance grew. Many conversations were held about construction technical experiences, project-specific information, but also about the upcoming performance.

After the hearty menu, the guests took their seats in the audience stands, amidst the rural backdrop and beautifully staged natural stage of the theatre association.

The theatre group performed a crime drama based on the novel "Die Schattmattbauern" by Carl Albert Loosli, which deals with true abysses of intrigue, envy, malice, hurt, and spurned love.

The actors, all amateurs from the region, were in top form and played their way into the hearts of the audience.

The skilful performance of a demanding piece, in the theatre adaptation by Marcel Reber and under the direction of Ernst Wyss, was rewarded with hearty applause.

At the subsequent nightcap, all present agreed: Merz AG construction company not only masters their craft in construction – they also impress as charming hosts and create a great programme for a thoroughly successful summer event.

Architects, planners, real estate professionals, municipal representatives, heads of building authorities… and a colourful group of personalities from the company’s environment fully enjoyed themselves culturally and gastronomically on this August evening.
