We are looking for a leader for the Unia Central Switzerland region:
Regional Manager (80 – 100%)
In the Unia Central Switzerland region, the approximately 25 employees work daily for around 7,700 members. As Regional Manager, you will take responsibility for the trade union movement and the further development of the region in this varied role. Your tasks will include in particular:
- Leading the Unia Central Switzerland region and implementing the Unia strategy in cooperation with the responsible militia committees
- Leading the regional management team and supporting its members in managing their areas
- Responsibility for the regional strategy and further development of the Unia Central Switzerland region
- Strategic leadership and management of trade union campaigns and grassroots work in industries and companies
- Representing the region in national Unia bodies and towards third parties
What you bring
- Commitment to social issues and enjoyment in actively shaping social developments
- Professional experience in trade unions, non-profit organizations, politics, social services, or related fields
- Experience in personnel management as well as in developing and implementing strategies and projects, especially in grassroots and field work
- Strong negotiation and communication skills as well as confident appearance in German
- Resilience, perseverance, and assertiveness in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaboratively develop and implement goals with employees and volunteer members
- Identification with values such as fairness, solidarity, and social justice
