G&F Châtelain, a branch of Chanel SARL, is Chanel's watchmaking and jewellery manufacture in Switzerland. Responsible for developing, manufacturing and assembling the brand's watches and jewellery, our site brings together a wide variety of trades combining artisanal know-how and very high technology.
You will join the production teams as a Kit Preparer.
Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you are responsible for preparing the machine production and workshop control kits.
Your impact at Chanel
At the heart of watchmaking and jewellery activities, the production department is responsible for transforming raw materials into finished products, ensuring that each stage of the process is carried out with precision and quality.
Within your department, you guarantee the preparation of machine production and control kits for your sectors based on scheduling priorities.
All your activities to ensure optimal and efficient follow-up:
Be responsible:
For the conformity of production and control kits:
- Reference the following characteristics for each tool on the kit's tool sheet: associated tool holder reference, length, life span…
- Anticipate and prepare kits according to scheduling: Mount tools on the appropriate tool holders according to the established tool sheet, ensuring their good condition. Also clamps, jaws for gripping and holding, the rest of the kit…
- Alert in case of missing/damaged elements.
- Ensure capacity to make backup kits.
- Make the prepared kits (production/control) available for the relevant machining workshop.
- Ensure kits are complete at departure and return.
- Dismantle kits at the end of production and replace worn tools.
- Prepare and make available the loading elements.
For the organisation of the preparation area:
- Maintain an organised workstation.
- Anticipate shortages and orders according to scheduling.
Communicate:
With scheduling, mechanics, production and the production purchasing department:
- Orally and using digital tools (Excel, etc.).
- During AIC (daily production follow-ups).
Control:
Parts returned from subcontracting according to the established control range.
What you will bring
With experience in an equivalent role or in machining, you understand the production process and master cutting tools. You can assess tool wear and replace them when necessary.
Discreet, organised, trustworthy and rigorous in your work, you have an analytical mind, good time and priority management. You are also recognised for your adaptability, team spirit and communication skills (oral and written).
