Accounting Clerk, 70%The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich ensures a high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare provision in the Canton of Zurich. It guarantees seamless medical treatment and care and promotes the health of the Zurich population.
The Finance Department in the General Secretariat is responsible for the financial management of the Directorate and accounting. It also oversees the area of individual premium reductions (IPV) and acts as the owner for the four cantonal hospitals.
For the department, we are looking for an Accounting Clerk 70% starting in August or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Ensuring the operational daily business in accounting according to IPSAS
- Managing the general ledger as well as accounts receivable (including debt collection) and accounts payable
- Assisting with interim and annual financial statements including intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting with technical queries
- Documenting, reviewing and targeted optimisation of processes and controls
- Participating in projects in the accounting area
Your profile
- You have a qualification in the field, such as the professional certificate in finance and accounting (or are currently training for it) or a comparable qualification. Additionally, you bring at least 2 years of professional experience in accounting and have already taken responsibility in the closing process.
- You are proficient with IT systems and have good knowledge of SAP FI/CO as well as common MS Office applications. You work in a structured, reliable manner with a high degree of personal responsibility. A strong quality awareness characterises you.
- As a team player, you enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration. You communicate skilfully with different stakeholders.
- You are interested in digital and efficient solutions and are motivated to actively further develop and optimise processes. Experience in public administration or healthcare is an advantage but not a requirement.
