Director of Marketing (m/f/d)
As Director of Marketing, you are responsible for the entire marketing, PR, and communications department of the hotel. Your tasks include:
- Leadership & Coordination: Leading the marketing department with two directly reporting employees as well as managing external partners in close coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Strategic Responsibility: Professional leadership of the areas of media, PR, social media, digital and direct marketing; close collaboration with the PR & Communications Manager and the Marketing Specialist
- Marketing Strategy: Development and implementation of a holistic marketing strategy in line with the company vision
- Brand Management: Overall responsibility for the hotel's brand identity including imagery, tone of voice, corporate design, and ensuring a consistent brand presence across all channels and touchpoints
- Programming & Culture: Conceptualization, planning, and implementation of a year-round program and cultural calendar for the hotel (e.g., events, cooperations, cultural formats) in close coordination with internal departments and external partners
- Social Media: Responsibility for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn – both organic and paid content – together with the Marketing Specialist
- PR & Cooperations: Support in managing media contacts, influencers, and opinion leaders
- Content & Production: Planning and execution of photo and video productions considering the defined brand guidelines
- Digital Touchpoints: Maintenance and continuous development of the website and online shop
- Employer Branding: Co-responsibility for the employer brand in close collaboration with Human Resources
- Planning & Budget: Creation, management, and control of the annual marketing plan and budget
- Analysis & Optimization: Performance tracking and continuous optimization of all marketing activities
You convince us with these qualities:
- Completed training or studies in marketing, communication, or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable leadership position, ideally in luxury hospitality
- Strong leadership skills and strategic thinking ability
- Relevant network, ideally in Basel and the region, especially in the areas of media, lifestyle, culture, or hospitality
- Very good German and English skills, French skills desirable
- Creative, independent, and solution-oriented working style
