You lead and support regulatory projects of FINMA and contribute the expertise of the financial market supervision to national legislative projects.
Main tasks
- Participation in current policy and regulatory initiatives across the entire field of financial market law
- Monitoring regulatory developments in the financial sector in a national and international context
- Collaboration in cross-departmental FINMA-internal and inter-authority national regulatory projects
- Development of regulatory options and formulation of ordinance and circular texts, accompanying materials as well as contributions to laws and ordinances at the federal level
- Support of hearings and ex-post analyses of FINMA regulations and representation of FINMA vis-à-vis the private sector and other federal offices
- Support of specialists in supervisory areas in policy and regulatory matters
- Participation in the development and implementation of FINMA's strategy for supervision and regulation of the Swiss financial center
Profile
- Lawyer, preferably with additional qualifications (e.g. bar exam, doctorate, LL.M.)
- Knowledge of financial market law
- Relevant professional experience in administration, a law firm, banking or insurance environment
- Good knowledge of constitutional and political processes at the federal level as well as project work
- Proven analytical, conceptual and editorial skills
- Initiative, independence, enthusiasm for shaping and teamwork
- Very good German skills (C2) with good knowledge of another official language and good English skills
