Team Leader Technology and Data 80 - 100%The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.zh.ch/vd) includes the Office for Labour, the Office for Economic Affairs, the Office for Mobility as well as, administratively, the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Director and the service centre of the Directorate.
The Digital Transformation & Business Services department, as part of the General Secretariat, supports the digital transformation in the Directorate of Economic Affairs. It provides central services, supports the administrative units with expert knowledge and represents the interests of the Directorate in cross-directorate committees.
For the management of an interdisciplinary team, we are looking for an engaged and strong leadership personality to start immediately or by arrangement, who will take on a central role in the further development of digital transformation as Team Leader Technology and Data and support the offices as a competent business partner.
Your tasks:
- Leadership, coaching and further development of an interdisciplinary, technically oriented team with five employees (including ICT, architecture and data)
- Responsibility for the further development and sustainable growth of the team as well as the corresponding competencies and services
- Active participation in the further development and stabilisation of the newly organised Digital Transformation & Business Services department
- Taking on the business partner role for two offices in the directorate and support with technological issues
- Planning and further development of ICT provision as well as shaping the technological direction
- Management, leadership and participation in projects focusing on ICT and data as well as support in technical procurements
- Advising administrative units on technical, architectural and data-related issues
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as well as representing the directorate's interests in committees and projects
Your profile:
- Solid education (FH/University) in business informatics, computer science or comparable
- Several years of experience in designing organisations, processes and digital solutions, ideally in a consultancy-related role (e.g. as Requirements Engineer, Systems Engineer, Business Architect or comparable)
- Proven leadership skills and enthusiasm for building, further developing teams and structures and empowering employees
- Ability to mediate between specialist departments, IT and external partners and develop viable solutions
- Understanding of administrative structures and knowledge of public procurement are advantageous
- Convincing, target-group appropriate communication and confident appearance towards different stakeholders
- Networked thinking, high initiative as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
