Professional Software Engineer

For our location in Zurich, we are looking for a committed Software Engineer to actively further develop our innovative products. You will work closely with experienced colleagues as well as our professional and technical specialists and accompany the entire software development process from the initial idea to productive deployment.

Your tasks

• Development and further development of sophisticated Java applications and systems as part of our product development teams
• Analysis, design and optimisation of software solutions in close collaboration with Product Management
• Participation in all phases of the software development process – from requirements analysis through design, implementation and testing to maintenance
• Support of our customers and Professional Services teams with new requirements, incidents and service requests
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high quality and smooth integration of the software
• Conducting code reviews as well as active knowledge sharing within the team
• Use of modern agile methods and tools for efficient software development

Your profile

• Completed studies (ETH, university or university of applied sciences) and at least 2 years of experience in design, development and maintenance of larger Java applications
• Good knowledge of Java, Groovy as well as common Java frameworks and libraries
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiar with modern development tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins and Docker
• Knowledge in the area of PDF and Apache PDFBox is a plusAnalytical and structured thinking as well as pronounced problem-solving skills 
• Quick comprehension with logical, customer- and product-oriented thinking
• Independent, solution-oriented working style with high personal responsibility 
• Very good German and English skills
