About the job
BIM Technician Bridge
Ramboll's bridge department is growing, and we want to further strengthen our professional environment. Today, we consist of just over 40 bridge engineers distributed across offices in Drammen, Oslo, Bergen, and Trondheim.
Are you interested in model-based design and want to work on some of Norway's most exciting bridge and transport projects? Then this could be the opportunity for you.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a BIM technician with interest or experience in bridge structures. You have good knowledge of 3D modelling and drawing production in Tekla Structures, Rhino/Grasshopper, or AutoCAD/Revit.
We are looking for someone who enjoys independent work in 3D modelling and drawing production, while collaborating closely with responsible specialists and bridge engineers in project teams.
You should have a basic understanding of bridge structures and the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge about different types of constructions and details. Familiarity with reinforcement detailing, welding details, and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's bridge details is an advantage.
We are open to various educational backgrounds, as long as you are motivated to work with both simple and complex modelling and drawing tasks.
Work tasks
- 3D modelling in Tekla Structures and possibly Rhino/Grasshopper
- Production of drawings based on 3D models
- Modelling of reinforcement for concrete structures and production of bending schedules
- Import and management of reference models, such as road models in Tekla Structures
- Preparation of sketches and drawings in AutoCAD during early phase and preliminary project work
- Contribute to further development of model-based working methods and deliveries
Qualifications
- Education from vocational school, college, or university within BIM, structural engineering, or equivalent field
- Experience with software such as Tekla Structures, Rhino/Grasshopper, or AutoCAD/Revit
- Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and learn new tools and software
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Professional engagement and good technological understanding
