Clinical Research Officer at the Institute of Pathology
The Institute of Pathology of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP) is looking for a research officer for its Pathology Unit for Research (UPPR). Responsible for monitoring clinical research projects, you will work closely with the biobank manager and diagnostic laboratories.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Clinical Pathology Institute brings together more than 100 people and fulfills the missions of diagnosis, teaching, and research. It participates in clinical investigations conducted at CHUV and cooperates with clinical researchers on institutional and industry projects in compliance with current regulations and good clinical practices.
Mission
- You ensure the scientific and administrative management of clinical studies
- You are responsible for planning and coordinating technical and medical services for research and clinical trials
- You coordinate and manage the operational aspects of research projects using the biobank
- You contribute to the smooth operation of the biobank and clinical studies.
Profile
- You hold a PhD in biomedical, medical, biological sciences or equivalent, accompanied by a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate
- You have proven experience in clinical research in managing biobank samples or pathology
- You have a thorough knowledge of Swiss legislation applicable to clinical research (LRH) and biobanks
- You have good oral and written English skills
- You are comfortable with common IT tools and have the adaptability to use new software
- You are proactive, versatile, conscientious, and dynamic, with good communication and adaptation skills and enjoy working in a team.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between level 10 and 11 and the job description may be adapted.
