Job Description
Within the scope of your activity, supporting AVS-age individuals presenting mental health issues, with or without cognitive disorders, who are hospitalised, is at the heart of your practice. You develop occupational therapy approaches centred on human occupations and adapted to the patient’s status. You play a key role in promoting autonomy, rehabilitation, and psycho-affective support for AVS-age patients suffering from psychiatric disorders, whether or not associated with cognitive impairments.
Your role includes managing occupational therapy treatment plans, both individually and in groups, as well as recording the services provided. Managing and updating patient records is also part of your responsibilities, ensuring documentation of interventions carried out and relevant clinical elements.
Your responsibilities include conveying information in a concise and structured manner, as well as participating in the regular evaluation of therapeutic objectives during interdisciplinary meetings. In this capacity, you actively contribute to the co-construction of therapeutic care while maintaining critical reflection on your professional practices. You ensure the quality and continuity of care in collaboration with other health professionals.
Collaboration with an interprofessional team is a central element of the role to guarantee coherent support focused on the specific needs of each patient. In parallel, active participation in departmental projects is expected, as well as contributing to the sharing of practices within the HUG occupational therapy network.
Qualifications
Holder of a HES occupational therapy diploma or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross, you ideally have experience in an institutional setting. Knowledge of mental health and the Geneva network are additional assets.
With experience working with AVS-age patients, you adopt an innovative approach and actively participate in the evolution of professional practices.
On a daily basis, you demonstrate excellent organisational skills allowing you to handle simultaneous demands. Your sense of priorities, stress management, and flexibility are essential assets to effectively meet the requirements of the position.
