To strengthen our operations area Solid operations mono plants at Arxada, Visp, Switzerland we are looking for a Deputy Shift Supervisor in chemical production.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the induction and further development of employees
• Ensuring smooth shift operations and organising all arising work orders as well as responsibility for shift handover
• Ensures contact with external operational bodies (porter / on-call / fire brigade) in case of an incident
• Leading the team regarding tasks, priorities, breaks and absences
• Ensuring the implementation of the required work in the assigned work area under the applicable regulations (safety, environmental protection and quality)
• Questioning daily work in collaboration with the shift team employees and accordingly developing improvement proposals
   

Qualifications and experience:

• High commitment to strengthening the safety culture
• Residence in Upper Valais to ensure availability in case of disruptions
• Experience as a plant specialist in chemical production or service operations and in handling process control systems
• Preferably completed CPT or CPP apprenticeship (formerly certified operator) or willingness to start one
• You are interested and willing to learn new technologies and continuously further your education
• Committed, flexible and reliable personality
• Motivation for shift work (including night shifts and weekends)
