Welcome to the Zweckverband Soziales Netz Bezirk Horgen (SNH) based in Horgen. The Advisory Services department, a dedicated team consisting of adult protection and the addiction specialist centre, manages adult protection mandates on behalf of five district municipalities and supports people in challenging life situations. The addiction specialist centre supports people from all nine district municipalities. Due to the retirement of the current post holder in the first quarter of 2027, the position of department head is to be newly filled.We are looking for a Department Head Advisory Services 80 – 100% from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
In the role of department head, you will be jointly responsible with an experienced and motivated management team for the personnel management of over 20 qualified employees. You will support the professional guardians and the staff of the addiction specialist centre in professional matters and clarify crucial attitude issues. You will manage complex mandates and regularly liaise with the supervisory authority KESB.
Your management duties include the structural, organisational and qualitative development of the professional guardianship and addiction specialist centre together with the management team and executive management. We align ourselves with the professional recommendations of KOKES.
Your main tasks
- Personnel and professional management of a dynamic team
- Case management in complex mandates
- Responsibility for organisational and quality management
- Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and annual accounts
- Development of guiding objectives, future perspectives and personnel planning
- Public relations and contact person for third parties
- Close cooperation with KESB, the sponsoring municipalities and institutions
Requirements profile
- University of applied sciences or university degree in social work, law, pedagogy, psychology or comparable education
- Experience in case management in adult protection
- Professional and leadership experience in a social environment, ideally in child and adult protection
- High degree of responsibility, resilience and quick comprehension
- Humorous and empathetic
- Analytical thinking and solution-oriented action
