The Fribourg Detention Facility brings together the penitentiary structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has public law status and legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport, under the high supervision of the State Council. The Facility ensures the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of detainees entrusted to it and contributes to achieving the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- Ensure active and constant surveillance inside and around the buildings
- Maintain order and security
- Use technical installations and alarm transmission means
- Ensure the last evening medication
- Enforce discipline, order and security using the service dog
- Supervise detainees when necessary
Desired profile
- Federal VET diploma or equivalent training
- Several years of professional experience
- Federal certificate as detention officer from the Swiss Competence Centre for Penal Sanctions Execution, or willingness to undertake the training
- Solid experience in training and educating a service dog
- Good physical and mental condition, as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Good interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
- Willingness to apply coercive measures
- Availability to work shifts (irregular hours including Saturdays and Sundays)
- Clean criminal record and no pending prosecutions
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
