The Office for Cultural Assets (KGA) is tasked with identifying, documenting, protecting and preserving cultural assets. It provides appropriate information, advice and support to the responsible authorities and owners. It promotes knowledge and appreciation of cultural assets through publications, public relations and the establishment of documentation. Spatial planning and the supervision of restoration work on listed buildings are among its core tasks.

Your tasks
- Representation during a four-month maternity leave with the prospect of a follow-up solution in the form of a permanent position from September 2027
- Processing dossiers, projects and building permit procedures for protected buildings and sites
- Processing dossiers and procedures in the field of spatial planning as well as handling objections and complaints
- Advising builders and specialist planners as well as preparing statements for the responsible authorities
- Processing subsidy applications and accompanying the associated work
- Creating, reviewing and updating documentation and reports on restoration and preservation measures
- Close cooperation with the various departments of the office as well as participation in awareness-raising campaigns and publications
- Participation in the development of internal tools as well as in cross-departmental projects
Desired profile
- University degree (Master) in architectural history, architecture or art history; training in monument preservation or urban planning is an advantage
- Proven experience in supporting restoration and conservation work
- Very good understanding of historic buildings and building structures as well as good knowledge in reading and interpreting plans and technical documents
- Good knowledge of the legal foundations and current challenges in the field of spatial planning
- Strong negotiation, communication and persuasion skills, especially in demanding and sensitive contexts
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills with high resilience
- Driving licence (Category B, manual and automatic transmission)
- Fluency in German (language of external communication), as well as good knowledge of French (language of internal communication)
