Assistant Physician at the Outpatient Psychiatry Unit for the Elderly
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for an assistant physician with a workload between 80% and 100% for the Outpatient Psychiatry Unit for the Elderly of SUPAA – North in Yverdon-les-Bains, starting November 1, 2026.

Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Psychiatry includes 12 services covering the three life stages and the Central, Western, and Northern sectors of the canton.
Led by Professor Armin von Gunten, SUPAA – University Service of Psychiatry for the Elderly is recognized as a place for advanced training in psychiatry and psychotherapy of the elderly (category C-D2 A, maximum ISFM-FMH recognition: 2 years outpatient, 2 years hospital).
The service provides care for people aged 65 and over with psychiatric disorders, at SUPAA, the Brine Therapeutic Center, at home, or in nursing homes.
Mission
You provide direct and indirect clinical activity in the care of patients and their families within the mobile team, in close collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders and under medical supervision (direct supervision by a senior physician)
- You handle administrative tasks related to the position
- You participate in the on-call system of the Northern Vaud Psychiatry Center.
Profile
- You hold a federal medical diploma or an equivalent foreign title recognized by MEBEKO
- You have at least two years of experience in psychiatry
- You are able to work in a multidisciplinary team
- You have a sense of responsibility
- You master French (minimum B2 level, certificate required for non-French-speaking doctors)
