The positions are attached to the Operations Department. This department's mission is to ensure the management and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the Sterilisation Service, the Biomedical and Equipment Service, as well as Cressy-Health. More than 1,100 professionals carry out their duties daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
Within the Operations Department, the Laundry Processing and Distribution Service provides a comprehensive laundry service that includes the supply and distribution of linen and professional clothing. Patients and clients can also benefit from these services.
Job description
As a warehouse operative, you ensure the receipt, inspection, and storage of linen for the various services of the institution. You prepare and package orders. For this, you are versatile and flexible and possess a good team spirit and customer service attitude.
The role requires standing and pulling heavy cupboards, so you are in excellent physical condition and able to carry heavy loads.
Qualifications
You have good knowledge of linen and quickly memorise numbers and counts.
You have good knowledge of computer applications and know how to use a barcode scanner.
You have a good command of the French language, both written and spoken, at B1 level.
You are precise and meticulous.
You also hold a driving licence.
Additional information
The position is organised according to shift hours with a time span from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm and involves versatility across all HUG sites as well as internally in other sectors of the Central Laundry Processing.
This position also requires working some weekends and public holidays.
