About the job

Mediamatiker EFZ (Apprenticeship Start August 2026)

At the City of Winterthur, you can expect a versatile training in the world of media, communication, design and ICT. Are you creative, digitally savvy and eager to create content that others really see? Then the training as a Mediamatiker EFZ suits you well. You will complete your first year of apprenticeship in the basic apprenticeship year at the Zurich Training Company Association ZLI. Afterwards, you will gain practical experience in various departments of the City of Winterthur, such as in the communication of city buses as well as elderly care.

Your Tasks

Create content for social media (texts, images, videos)

Design flyers, brochures, invitations, presentations and content for campaigns

Create and edit photos, illustrations, graphics and videos using appropriate programmes

Create and maintain content for websites, intranet and internal magazines

Assist with events, projects and other communication tasks

Your Profile

At least secondary level A with good grades

Interest in technology, design and communication

Enjoy organising, writing and creative work

Reliable and focused working style

Enjoy working with others
