The IT Services (ITS) of the University of Basel ensure that the university's digital world functions – for over 19,000 students, researchers, lecturers, and staff. As an apprentice, you are part of our team from the very beginning and learn step by step how a large and versatile IT environment operates, is managed, and further developed.
For August 2027, we are looking for two motivated apprentices for training as IT Specialist EFZ Platform Development.

Your Tasks
- You will get to know tasks, processes, and workflows in different teams and actively participate.
- You will learn to operate and further develop a complex IT environment in a modern, agile, and innovative IT setting.
- IT security, network, servers, and firewalls will no longer be foreign terms to you.
- You will learn how authentication and authorisation make the IT world secure.
- In a modern system landscape, you will gradually grow into a responsible role.
- You will acquire the knowledge to be successful as a platform specialist within the demanding IT landscape.
Your Profile
- Completed Matura or secondary school level P with good grades in scientific subjects.
- Enthusiasm for natural sciences (maths, computer science, and physics).
- Interest in software development and IT technology.
- A positive attitude, good manners, and reliability.
- Joy of life, friendliness, interest, openness, and a communicative working style.
- Enjoyment of teamwork and an active team life.
