The Youth Police Unit deals with preventive and intervention work in the youth sector. It counters juvenile delinquency and works closely with schools, parents, and social institutions. As an employee of the Youth Police Unit, you make an important contribution to prevention, counseling, and the protection of young people.
The Communication and Prevention Department is looking for one person by agreement
Your main tasks
- Prevention work through lectures in school classes, parent evenings, and professional committees
- Building, maintaining, and further developing an internal and external network in the assigned district
- Journal monitoring for early detection of delinquent youths and timely initiation of appropriate measures (e.g., preventive talks, class interventions, round tables)
- Conducting patrols and focus operations
- Supporting police case officers in cases involving juvenile suspects as well as handling own cases
- Contact person for internal and external agencies and conducting consultations on youth police topics
Your profile
- Police officer with a federal specialist certificate
- Several years of police professional experience
- Strong understanding of the life reality of young people and their social environment
- Ability and motivation to build sustainable relationships with young people
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with schools, authorities, social workers, and other partners
- Independent, proactive working style and networked thinking
- Willingness for specialized training and further education, especially the SPI course for Police Youth Case Officers
