Founded in 1924, the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) welcomes 4,500 students aged 3 to 18 representing more than 130 nationalities. As a Theatre Technician at La Châtaigneraie, you will play a crucial role in the daily operation of our performing arts facilities. Your role will go beyond equipment management; you will provide the technical foundation that allows students and teachers to explore the complexities of performance, ensuring that every production and class meets high academic and safety standards.
Your role and responsibilities:
Production and technical support:
- Provide assistance for all technical aspects of performing arts productions, theatre classes, assessed performances, and other school events.
- Liaise with the Theatre Manager for all school productions and exam performances.
- Perform occasional multimedia tasks, including filming, uploading documents to Google Drive, and poster design.
- Provide occasional technical support for campus performing arts events.
Resource and facility management:
- Maintain all technical equipment and resources, ensuring staff and students can use them effectively.
- Manage the department's daily resources, including costumes, books, sets, and technical equipment.
- Ensure teachers have the necessary equipment for each class.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met for the daily use of performance spaces.
Profile sought:
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Significant experience in the theatre industry for all aspects of performance and live events.
- Previous experience in an international school is an asset.
- Essential skills in lighting, sound, and projection. In-depth knowledge of audiovisual equipment maintenance and renovation.
- The ability to work fluently in English and French.
- The ability to quickly adapt to new IT developments and a willingness to acquire new technical skills.

- Strong planning and organizational skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
- A commitment to working in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- A willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends during production weeks.
