Your Tasks
- Overall responsibility for the organization and management of the OP operations department
- Direct management and support of the team leaders AEMP, Anesthesia Care/Awakening Room, Positioning Care, and Surgical Techniques, as well as active support of the teams during bottlenecks.
- Ensuring a needs-based OP planning considering personnel and material resources
- Continuous optimization of processes regarding quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Close collaboration with the department management of Integral Capacity Management for OP ticket allocation and strategic OP planning.
- Responsibility for the internal departmental budget processes, training, and HR topics.
- Implementation of business management requirements including calculations and collection of key figures
- Active participation in interdisciplinary projects, committees, and working groups
- Promotion of cross-departmental collaboration within the hospital as well as with external stakeholders
Your Profile
- Completed training in the medical field at HF level (or comparable qualification)
- Further training in OP management (e.g. CAS) is an advantage
- Several years of management experience, ideally at the departmental level
- In-depth knowledge of the processes of an acute hospital as well as in process management
- Strong social competence, assertiveness, and economic thinking
- High personal responsibility and ability to act in the overall interest of the operation
- Targeted communication and constructive collaboration with internal and external partners
Your Opportunity
In this central interface function, you will work closely with anesthetists and surgeons to ensure a smooth operation of the surgical process. In addition, the department management ensures efficient, resource-saving, and patient-oriented OP planning in close collaboration with the department management of Integral Capacity Management (IKM). For this demanding, strategically and operationally oriented interface function, we are looking for a committed, experienced personality with foresight.
