About the job

In this role, you work in the heart of our company, the control center, from which we efficiently and effectively move our trains.

Your challenges:

• Planning freight traffic in coordination with available resources
• Order coordination with sales
• Disposition of individual orders (checking order data, ordering routes, allocation of locomotives and drivers, system entries with infrastructure operators, customs / loading documents) with regard to capacity optimization
• Creating time- and distance-optimized duty rosters for drivers, shunters, and inspectors
• Troubleshooting operational disruptions and staff shortages
• Guidance and support for drivers with questions and problems

What you should bring:

• Proven experience as a dispatcher, driver, or shunter
• Experience in railway technology or a transport company is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking & acting
• Good PC skills
• Very good German skills (French and Italian are an advantage)
• Decisiveness as well as high resilience and stress resistance
