About the job
urbaplan is seeking sustainable solutions with political, economic and social stakeholders who shape our territory and its development. We have been active for over 60 years and are based on 5 sites with more than 70 people working in the fields of urban planning, land use planning, landscape and environment.
To complement our dynamic team of 9 landscape architects, we are looking for an experienced person in the development of public and collective spaces. You will be involved in working on diverse assignments at all territorial scales.
Your tasks:
- You design urban and landscape public space development projects, from planning to site supervision. A good understanding of the design-realisation process is required, but not necessarily complete mastery of all phases;
- You may be involved in urban development studies, such as the development of new districts, territorial strategies, or urban renewal projects, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (architects, urban planners, geographers, environmental engineers);
- You collaborate on projects with study partners (civil engineers, mobility, etc.);
- The projects cover the whole of French-speaking Switzerland and, depending on your interests or opportunities, may extend to the German-speaking region as well as internationally.
- You could: participate in the creation and facilitation of participatory approaches, contribute to landscape studies at the large landscape scale (cantonal strategic studies, impact studies of structures).
Your profile:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a landscape architecture office;
- Your professional experience has enabled you to acquire project management skills: internal and external coordination, leading and facilitating meetings, administrative and financial support;
- You demonstrate creativity and conceptual rigour;
- You must be comfortable with hand graphic representation and computer tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). You master Autocad and have good technical knowledge (plants, materials and construction details);
- Knowledge of Swiss CAN (Messerli software) and Autocad 3D is an asset;
- You express yourself easily in public, while having good writing skills;
- You are sensitive to ecological and climate transition issues;
- You are fluent in French. Knowledge of German is an asset.
Our offer:
- Wide variety of assignments in a stimulating work environment within a multidisciplinary, dynamic team highly committed to ecological transition.
- The office is B-Corp certified, a process that illustrates our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
- Flexible hours, teleworking, training budget and many benefits in terms of social services.
Start date: from September
Workplace: branch to be defined (Lausanne, Geneva, Neuchâtel, Fribourg)
